Prowler Pro
The 2019 release of the Textron Off Road Prowler Pro displayed new features that tells us Textron was paying attention to the needs of their consumers. For one, the idea behind these workhorses is the space available for storage, people, gear, dogs ... you name it. So, now the entire floor space is open because the shifter is now moved to the steering wheel. It's hard to explain how much that makes a difference, but the first time you drive a 2019 you will notice that very quickly.
It comes with the strong whisper-quiet 50HP EFI gas engine with 812cc. The pro-terrain tires are 26x10-12 front and rear so maneuvering through rough, wet, or steep terrain is no problem. Even though there is plenty of room for 3 people to ride, if you're out by yourself the other two seats can be quickly unlatched and stored to open up even more space! If you like to go ride the hills with your dog, Fido will surely appreciate the extra space! Or maybe you have a big cooler full of food and drinks. Maybe you just bagged your limit and need more space to haul it home. Whatever your activities are, having more space as an available option is always a plus.
Prowler Pro XT
The XT version is everything you want out of a UTV with a few extra premium Prowler perks (say that 5 times). Electric power steering is going to keep you safe when you need to make a quick decision. The aluminum wheels on the XT are going to make the vehicle more capable of quicker acceleration.
You've got a 2,000 lb towing capacity and a 1,000 pound capacity cargo box with tilt. This means there is not an elk or deer out there that you can't pack home. If you tag an elk over 1,000 pounds, send me a picture! And a bag of jerky...
Just like the 3-Passenger Prowler Pro, the XT has electronically selectable 4WD and selectable locking rear differential. There are days where we think to ourselves "oh it'll be fine, drive through that puddle" then that puddle turns out to be deeper mud than we anticipated. Simply lock in your 4 wheel drive and get out of that mess nice and easy.
Prowler Pro Ranch Edition
Here is where it starts to get real. We're talking 27-inch Maxxis Bighorn tires, premium seats that are more sustainable and supportive, and a hard stock roof comes standard. The Prowler Pro Ranch Edition has a front brushguard and a rear bumper so when you get into that thick brush you won't have any problems. And if your buddies run into trouble, you'll be there to help out with your 4,500-lb WARN winch. You'll be riding tall and comfortable with a 10-inch front and 9.5-inch rear suspension travel.
